There is always a first time for everything. That said, every first also has a lasting impression. Sometimes that first impression becomes the lasting impression. But I am not here to relate events one after another. What I want to account here is my first trip out of state, which seriously means a lot considering the fact that after enormous amount of cribbing by my younger sibling, Dad had consented- that too because our Uncle had a business plus health trip to undertake through Delhi, Hyderabad and finally Bangalore.
22nd July 2011: L.G.B Airport 7am. We were in perfect time for our 7:50am flight by SpiceJet to Delhi via Bagdogra. All aboard now, butterflies in our tummies..... after all first time on board an aircraft!
And off we go...... Oh wait...is the aircraft supposed to touch the runaway a second after it has left it once??
Alright didn't see that coming..... emergency landing????? On my very first flight?
Wow...Guess what? we are stranded on the LGB Airport til god knows when!!
********** 2 hours later*********
Its 12 noon now...and the only solace is that our boarding passes have been renewed and so is our boarding time....i.e., 2:30 pm.........
We had lunch, watched t.v and baggage tagging along with their owners, observed the airport staff, yawned and even dozed off in our lounge seats...
But finally the plane arrived and so did a welcome shower....That's considered a good omen in our tradition...A shower before a journey brings prosperity, success and cheerful result/s...
And so true....We had great fun..... In the connect three journey...What's more our father has just announced another full family outing....and this time to the City of Joy!
